18. О Туркфронте.
(Сталин, Троцкий).
а) Послать т. Орджоникидзе на неделю в Туркестан для предварительного ознакомления с положением дела и доклада Политбюро как по вопросам национальной политики, так и по вопросу о составе Средне-Азиатского Бюро ЦК и о басмачестве.
б) Признать необходимым военного положения для полного искоренения басмачества. Поручить т. Орджоникидзе точно договориться с Средне-Азиатским Бюро о времени объявления военного положения и способах его проведения и известить по прямому проводу Секретариат ЦК.

18. Regarding the Turkfront.
(Stalin, Trotsky).
a) Send comrade Ordzhonikidze to Turkestan for a week for a preliminary introduction to the situation and the Politburo report both on the questions of national policy and on the question of the composition of the Central Asian Bureau of the CC and on the basmachi.
b) Find it necessary to take a military position for the full eradication of the basmachi. Assign comrade Ordzhonikidze to come to a definitive consensus with the Central Asian Bureau regarding the time of the announcement of our military position and the methods of conducting it, and inform the Secretariat of the CC directly.
