10 августа 1957 г. Московскую мечеть посетили четыре участника Фестиваля из Ирака, обучающиеся в Париже:
1) Метлах Хусеин – студент, багдадец.
2) Обут Хусеин – студент из гор. Наджаф.
3) Касым Салих – студент из гор. Багдада.
4) Сяльман Дауд – студент из г. Багдада.
Гости были приняты Имам-Хатыбом Салиховым. Присутствовал председатель Мутаваллиата Айсин.
Содержание беседы /на арабском языке/.
Имам: Как велик город Багдад?
Метлах Хусеин: Гор. Багдад большой, население более 1 миллиона чел. Среди населения есть евреи и другие. Большинство населения – мусульмане.
Имам: Дружно ли живут мусульмане и евреи?
Обут: Нет, мусульмане и евреи живут не дружно. Другие народы и мусульмане живут дружно.
Имам: Как смотрит народ на участие Ирака в Багдадском пакте?
Метлах: Иракский народ против участия Ирака в Багдадском пакте и требует выхода Ирака из этого союза. Мусульманам этот пакт пользы не приносит.
Имам: Мусульмане всегда должны жить дружно. Мирная жизнь приносит счастье. Далее Имам спрашивает: Какую помощь оказал иракский народ египетскому народу в дни нападения агрессоров?
Метлах: В дни войны мы не могли оказать большую помощь, ибо наша страна сама находилась под непосредственной

угрозой военных действий. В душе мы были за оказание помощи Египту.
Далее гости спросили, сколько мусульман проживает в Москве, если ли паломники из Советского Союза.
Имам ответил, что в Москве около 10 тыс. мусульман. Ежегодно бывают паломники из Советского Союза.
Далее гости рассказали о том, что они в печати встречали фотографию Имама Салихова.
Имам Салихов рассказал о приезде в СССР в дни войны президента Сирийской республики Шюкри Куатли, а его выступлении на турецком языке в Московской мечети, о преподнесении президентом подарка Московской мечети – Эль Корана.
Гости осмотрели мечеть и выразили восхищение чистотой мечети, говоря, что у них в Ираке в мечетях подобной чистоты и блеска нет.
Гости поблагодарили за прием и ушли.

10 August 1957 the Moscow Mosque was visited by four participants of the Festival from Iraq, who go to school in Paris:
1) Metlah Hussein- student, Baghdad native.
2) Obut Hussein- student from the city of Nadzhir.
3) Kasim Salikh- student from the city of Baghdad.
4) Salman Daud- student from the city of Baghdad.
The guests were received by Imam-Khatib Salikhov. The representative of Mutavalliat, Aisin was present.

Imam: How large is the city of Baghdad?
Metlah Hussein: The city of Baghdad is large, the population is greater than 1 million people. Among the population, there are Jews and others. Most of the population consists of Muslims.
Imam: Do the Muslims and Jews live in peace?
Obut: No, the Muslims and Jews do not live in peace. Other nationalities and Muslims live peacefully.
Imam: What do the people think of Iraq’s participation in the Baghdad Pact?
Metlah: The Iranian people are against Iraq’s participation in the Baghdad Pact and demand Iraq’s departure from this union. Muslims do not benefit from this Pact.
Imam: Muslims must always live peacefully. A peaceful life brings happiness. Next, the Imam asks: What kind of support have the Iraqi people shown for the Egyptian people in the days of aggressor attacks?
Metlah: In days of war, we were not able to help much since our own country was under

threat of military action. In our souls, we were all for helping Egypt.
Next, the guests asked how many Muslims live in Moscow, if there are any pilgrims from the Soviet Union.
The Imam answered that there are about 10 thousand Muslims in Moscow. There are pilgrims from the Soviet Union every year.
Next, the guests talked about how they saw a photo of Imam Salikhov in the press.
Imam Salikhov talked about the visit of the president of the Syrian Republic, Shukri Kuatli, to the USSR during the days of war, about his presentation in the Turkish language at the Moscow Mosque, about the offering of a gift- the El Quran, by the president.
The guests looked around the mosque and expressed their astonishment with the cleanliness of the mosque, saying that in Iraq, they do not have mosques so clean and polished.
The guests thanked the Imam for the reception and left.
