20 сентября 1957 г. Московскую Соборную мечеть посетила группа гостей из Судана в сопровождении делегации:
1) Ахмят Бабикар Эль Эзерик – глава делегации, лидер союза крестьян.
2) Джабар Осман Мохамед Али – быв. председатель союза крестьян.
3) Абуль-Хасан Адель Махмуд – зам. пред. союза крестьян.
4) Ахмед Али Эль Хаджи – секретарь союза крестьян.
5) Мохамед Го-Раиши Ахмед – член правления союза крестьян
6) Адам Давалла Гаддура – член правления союза крестьян.
7) Абдэрряхим Абдель Керим – крестьянин, член правления союза крестьян.
8) Мохамед Абдолла Эль Вали – зам. секретаря союза крестьян
9) Махмуд Эль Эминь Эль Факи Эмир Самбу – казначей союза крестьян.
Гости приняли участие в дневном богослужении, после чего были приняты Имам-Хатыбом Салиховым в присутствии Имама Мустафина и членом Мотаваллиата. Они имели беседу следующего содержания:
Гость – Исполняются ли в мечети все молебны? И ходят ли мусульмане в мечеть?
Имам – В мечети исполняются дневная, пятничные и праздничные богослужения. Верующие ходят в мечеть, когда могут. Многие из них бывают заняты и поэтому молятся дома. Вся земля для верующих – мечеть.

Гость – Кто назначает управление мечети?
Имам – Имамов назначает глава Духовного управления Муфтий.
Гость – Сколько мечетей в Москве?
Имам – Одна.
Гость – На какие средства существует Муфтий?
Имам – На добровольные пожертвования верующих.
Зам. главы делегации – Есть ли у Вас Закят и кто ведает его сбором?
Имам – У нас нет нищих. Инвалидам в нашей стране выдается пенсия. Поэтому Закят поступает на содержание мечети и духовных учреждений.
Гость – Какую помощь оказывает правительство?
Имам – В Советском Союзе церковь отделена от государства. Поэтому правительство материальную помощь почти не оказывает. Но оно помогает организационно и в вопросе выделения строительных и других материалов, если религиозные учреждения обращаются к правительственным органам.
Гость – От имени делегации передает Имаму Салихову очень популярную в Судане книгу Эль Абду Эль Кадыр Зарджани – "Даляиль". Имам Салихов с благодарностью принимает и от имени мусульман Москвы передает Коран, изданный в Советском Союзе в 1956 г.
Гость – Сколько мусульман проживает в Москве?
Имам – Точно не знаем, ибо у нас нет счета верующих и неверующих. Предполагаем, что в Москве около 10 тыс. мусульман.

Гость – Где учился Имам?
Имам – В Казани.
Гость – Сколько лет Имаму?
Имам – Называет свой возраст (на арабском языке).
Гость – спрашивает, нет ли фото Ленинградской мечети?
Имам – Дарит гостям большую фотографию Ленинградской мечети.
Глава делегации говорит, что англо-французская печать много пишет о железном занавесе в Советском Союзе. Но здесь гости убеждаются, что все это клевета, никакого занавеса нет. Здесь все открыто и люди свободно общаются с гостями, отправляют религиозные обряды, имеют мечети.
Имам говорит, что мусульманам всего мира надо объединиться. Советское правительство помогает колониальным народам в их стремлении к независимости и свободе. Будьте дружны с СССР, можете положиться на его помощь. Советская республика желает мира всем во всем мире.
Гости благодарят за прием и тепло прощаются.

The guests participated in a day prayer, after which they were received by Imam Khatib Salikhov in the presence of Imam Mustafina and a member of the Motavalliat. They had a conversation of the following content:
Guest- Does the mosque perform prayer services? And do Muslims attend the mosque?
Imam- Day, Friday and holiday prayer services are held in the mosque. Religious people attend the mosque when they can. Many of them are busy and that is why they pray at home. All of the Earth is a mosque for religious people.

Guest- Who appoints the mosque’s management?
Imam- Imams are appointed by the head of the Muftiy Spiritual Management.
Guest- How many mosques are there in Moscow?
Imam- One.
Guest- Where does the money come from to maintain the Muftiy?
Imam- From donations by religious people.
Dep. head of the delegation- Do you have a Zakat and who oversees its collection?
Imam- We do not have poor people. Disabled people in our country are given pensions. Because of this, the Zakat is used for maintain the mosque and spiritual institutions.
Guest- What kind of help does the state offer?
Imam- In the Soviet Union, the Church is separated from the state. Because of this, the state rarely offers monetary assistance. It helps in terms of organization and regarding the question of giving building materials and other support, if religious institutions turn to state entities.
Guest- On behalf of the entire delegation hands over a very popular book in Sudan by El Abdu El Kadir Zarjani called Daliyal to Imam Salikhov. Imam Salikhov accepts with gratefulness and on behalf of all the Muslims of Moscow hands over a Quaran, published in the Soviet Union in 1956.
Guest- How many Muslims live in Moscow?
Imam- We do not know for sure, since we do not have a count of religious and non-religious people. We predict that there are about 10 thousand Muslims in Moscow.

Guest- Where did the Imam go to school?.
Imam- In Kazan.
Guest- How old is the Imam?
Imam- States his name (in the Arabic language).
Guest- asks is there no photo of the Leningrad Mosque?
Imam- Gives the guests a large photograph of the Leningrad Mosque as a gift.
The head of the delegation says that the Anglo-French press writes a lot about the Iron Curtain in the Soviet Union. But here the guests are convinced that this is all nonsense and that there is no curtain. Everything is open here and people freely speak with guests, observe religious ceremonies and have mosques.
The Imam says that Muslims of the whole world must unite. The Soviet government helps colonial peoples in their ambitions towards independence and freedom. Be friendly with the USSR, you can depend on its help. The Soviet republic wishes peace to all in the entire world.
The guests thank the Imam for the reception and they warmly say goodbye.
