15-го октября с.г. по приглашению посольства Афганистана я, Имам Московской Соборной мечети, был приглашен на прием, устроенный по случаю дня рождения короля Афганистана.
При входе поздоровался с встречающими гостями, сотрудниками посольства и зашел в общий зал, где происходил прием. После некоторого времени меня пригласили в один из залов, где было подготовлено угощение для гостей. Здесь я встречался с несколькими сотрудниками Министерства иностранных дел СССР. С иностранными гражданами поздоровался и справился о здоровье – с Ливанским, Сирийским, Египетским послами и некоторыми другими сотрудниками посольств. Особого разговора ни с кем не имел.
Военный атташе посольства Афганистана спрашивал о здоровье и просил извинения, что ввиду большого количества гостей, сотрудники посольства не успевают выделить особого внимания отдельно всем гостям и спрашивал о причине отсутствия Имама Салихова.
Я его поблагодарил за внимание и сказал, что Салихов временно отбыл из Москвы. Больше никаких разговоров не было.

15 October of this year by invitation from the embassy of Afghanistan, I, Imam of the Moscow Cathedral Mosque, was invited to a reception, organized in honor of the king of Afghanistan’s birthday.
At the entrance, I greeted the welcoming guests, embassy employees and went into the common hall, where the reception took place. After some time, I was invited into one of the halls where refreshments were prepared for guests. Here I met with a few employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR. I greeted foreign citizens and inquired about their health- with the Libyan, Syrian, and Egyptian ambassadors and some other employees of the embassies. I did not have substantial conversations with anyone.
The military attaché of the Afghan embassy asked about my health and asked for forgiveness, since, because of the large number of guests, the embassy employees are not able to give special attention individually to all guests and asked about the reason for Imam Salikhov’s absence.
I thanked him for his attention and said that Salikhov temporarily left Moscow. There were no more conversations.
